The Rotary breakfast club of Lake Wales, Florida took a group of 6 members to Honduras to meet with government officials from Choloma, Cortes Honduras and to meet with the rotary clubs of both Choloma and San Pedro Sula. The group toured Centro Cristiano La Roca's land and bought groceries to feed 20 families for 2 weeks. The cost to feed a family in this area for 2 weeks is about $12. The group visited, Nueva Esperanza, a government run orphanage in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The group visited some local agriculture schools, met with a lady who feeds poor children lunch everyday and worked on the Compelled by Christ home. A great experience was had by all and they are already planning another trip in October.
